The Clarion-Ledger: Lawyer Seeks Lien, Wants Off Pickering Case

A year after suing her husband’s alleged mistress, the estranged wife of former U.S. Rep. Chip Pickering and the attorney who filed the alienation of affection lawsuit are at odds.

Former state Supreme Court Justice Chuck McRae has filed a motion to withdraw as Leisha Pickering’s attorney and is seeking a lien to hold property or other items of value until his legal fees are paid. The motion is set for a hearing next month, and in court papers, McRae refers to himself as her former attorney.
